Tattoo FAQ’s
Does tattooing hurt?
Yep, it sure does and the amount in which it hurts depends and varies from person to person as well as placement on the body. Here at The Naked Truth, we have no problems offering you a little numbing to ease the pain as we tattoo that beautiful body art. Feel free to come completely numb to your appointment.
Will you do large custom body art work?
We really rather keep the time down. Kim doesn’t like to sit for too long in one place due to a previous car accident so she tries to limit all of her services to 2 hours max.
How long will it take for the body art tattoo to heal?
This can vary from person to person and from tattoo to tattoo. Inner healing of the tissue can take up to 12 weeks but visible healing is approximately 2 to 3 weeks. It’s important to follow your aftercare instructions offered by the body art tattoo technician for optimum healing.
Will my body art tattoo fade?
There is a degree of fading that is supposed to happen right away. Body art tattoos are initially very vibrant when first done but throughout the healing process, they fade into their permanent colour. The reason they are so dark, to begin with, is that the tattoo ink is mixing with your body fluid and beginning the scabbing process almost right from the first poke of the needle. As the scabs fall off, the colour left behind is what you can expect from your body art tattoo. On a long-term basis tattoo’s do tend to fade and although they are needed you may need to touch them up to have the colours pop once more.
